Guided imagery tapes for HIV spectrum produced here. A new audio cassette tape released in Cleveland by Image Paths, Inc. breaks new ground in the medical self-help field by guiding people in the HIV spectrum to regain control of their bodies and their well-being.

Called "Health Journeys for People On the HIV Spectrum including AIDS," the tape uses clinically-tested "guided imagery" to help people infected with the HIV to relax and focus their minds in ways that help fight disease and speed healing.

"Guided Imagery" entails creating positive images in the mind to counteract the effects of illness. According to researchers, certain imagined sights, sounds and feelings activate the nervous system to send neurohormones (chemical messengers) through the bloodstream to specific cells, where they trigger healing activity.

"HIV Spectrum including AIDS" is one of 14 tapes in the Health Journeys series, all focused on healing specific conditions. Each

tape can be purchased for $10.95, except Surgery and Relationships, which are twotape sets costing $16.95. Write to Image Paths, Inc., Box 5714, Cleveland, OH 44101-0714, or phone 800-800-8661.
